The One Piece live-action has been exceptional with its casting. From the first season to now the second, not a single cast member has disappointed so far. From Iñaki Godoy and Mackenyu as Luffy and Zoro to the recently announced Charithra Chandran and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Vivi and Nefertari Cobra, there has been not a moment’s worth of disappointment.

While for some the announcements at first may seem doubtful and skeptical, it is best not to judge talent before it can be perfectly executed. The main cast of the series has showcased exactly that and it would be unfair not to let the new cast members have a chance either. However, there is one character that will appear in future seasons whose perfect live-action counterpart already exists.

One Piece Can Bring in Jeff Goldblum

When fans started demanding Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr Kureha, the One Piece crew did their very best to try and get her on board. The casting choice was uncanny and almost perfect with even the actress being up for it. However, scheduling conflicts became an obstacle neither side could effectively overcome. Despite the newly formed problem, the actress they found for the role seemed even more perfect.

Katey Sagal getting cast as her was a breath of fresh air for the fans. Seeing the optimal choice for a majority of the cast, one actor who many fans thought of when Eiichiro Oda introduced Kizaru was none other than Jeff Goldblum. Seeing how the Admiral was first introduced in the Sabaody arc, there is still some time for him to be introduced.

However, if push comes to shove, there is no better choice than the Jurassic Park actor for the role of the notorious villain. There has been not a moment where the live action cast has disappointed and were Goldblum to be on board as well, the idea wouldn’t be too far-fetched.

Fans Might Already be on Board

The resemblance between Admiral ‘Kizaru’ Borsalino and Jeff Goldblum is completely uncanny. From the eyewear to the way his expressions form so perfectly, there is no better option for the role than the Oscar winner himself. His acting skills are noteworthy with no amount of praise doing justice.

Moreover, his range makes him the perfect person for any role be is comedic or serious. As a villain too he could work with great credibility, bringing life to an already charismatic antagonist. If future seasons were to bring in the fight against Luffy, then Goldblum could easily get into the zone, facing Iñaki Godoy’s iconic Monkey D. Luffy.

Fans too noticed the resemblance and once a picture settles in one’s head, it is extremely difficult to let it out. The idea that Goldblum could portray a fan favorite character like Kizaru is no doubt a dream, one that could perhaps come true.

One Piece is available to watch on Netflix.
