Thor’s All In with Nothing to Lose in New Thor 5 Fan Trailer!

While fans are scratching their heads over how Deadpool ended up in Thor’s arms, the last film, Thor: Love and Thunder, left Thor cradling a dying Jane Foster. The new trailer from Darth Trailer on YouTube picks up right where that left off, with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor lamenting, “I have lost the love of my life.” As Thor navigates his heartbreak in this installment, Hercules emerges as a new threat, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown with the God of Thunder.

In Thor: Love and Thunder, Jane and Thor reunite, but Jane’s time is tragically limited due to a stage four cancer diagnosis. While Mjolnir is initially thought to be her salvation, they soon discover it’s actually draining her life force.

Thor pleads with her to put down the hammer so they can make up for the lost time all these years. However, when Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, nearly finishes Thor off, Jane takes up the mantle of Thor to save him one final time. Ultimately costing her her life, but the end-credits scene reveals her enjoying a hero’s afterlife in Valhalla.

Thus judging by the tone of the fan trailer, fans are expecting the new installment to dive into much darker territory. Speculations are thus also swirling that Thor 5, which by the way, Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce, could embrace a much grimmer tone, and serve as a redemption arc for the character many fans believe has potential waiting to be explored still.

Will Thor Really Battle Hercules? How Epic Will the Clash of the Gods Be?

With Thor: Love and Thunder teasing Hercules’ appearance with Brett Goldstein, fans are buzzing with anticipation that the fifth addition to the saga will bring the character back in a big way. They’ve been eagerly waiting for this epic clash, and it’s clear they’re expecting it to be bigger and better than ever.

Since his debut in 1965’s Journey into Mystery Annual #1, Hercules has flexed his way into becoming one of Marvel Comics’ legendary figures. Initially a rival to Thor, he soon muscled his way into hero status and joined the Avengers as a member. Not only is Hercules one of Marvel’s most interconnected heroes, but he’s also one of the mightiest, even stepping in to fill the Hulk’s big green shoes in The Incredible Hercules after the events of 2007’s World War Hulk.
