However, their happy marriage ended up falling apart in 2018, with the duo engaging in an ongoing divorce battle. As they engage in a legal divorce battle over profits from Magic Mike, a new report claims that the former plans to call Dewan’s now-partner to testify.

The Hollywood stud Channing Tatum, who has captivated audiences’ attention, particularly for working in dance movies, got separated from his longtime partner, Jenna Dewan in 2018.

The duo who officially got single in November 2019 has been in a legal dispute for years revolving around the earning of the Magic Mike franchise.

The pair had a hearing on April 12 this year in which Dewan’s attorneys claimed that the former hid the details about the movie earnings, which they argued was developed using “marital funds.”

Amid the dispute, In Touch obtained court documents from the upcoming trial which revealed that the Deadpool & Wolverine actor is planning to call Dewan’s now-fiancé, Steve Kazee, to testify in court.

Since the ex-pair has yet to agree on financial support and the division of their shared assets, he intends to question Steve about his “cohabitation, joint expenses, and all related matters” with the actress. The filing noted,

Mr. Kazee’s direct testimony is expected to last approximately one hour.

Whereas, the report also mentioned that Tatum had already conducted a deposition with Steve on March 15, during which Steve answered questions. However, The Lost City actor still intends to call him as a witness during the upcoming trial.

The report also mentioned that the 44-year-old actor is also planning to call renowned Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh to the trial. He is one of his business partners who will reportedly testify regarding “his and Respondent’s businesses.

The document noted that his business testimony will include “the income and expenses of the businesses, the entity structure of the businesses, Respondent’s involvement with and post-separation work performed for the various businesses, and all related matters.”

Whereas, Tatum will also call Dewan to answer questions under oath about their split and financial matters during the marriage.

Since their divorce filing came in 2018, the Gambit actor’s lawyers stated about making “exhaustive efforts” to settle all issues regarding this matter without litigation via PEOPLE.

Just three months before the trial, the actress requested the court to remove his lawyers from the case, leading the former to fire back asking to deny her request.
