This article contains manga spoilers for JJK!

Jujutsu Kaisen is notorious for featuring thrilling fights, and in the final arc of the title, Akutami has introduced a number of new faces in their work; Hakari being one of them. They even gave the character their own epic battle too. Although he got a fight of his own with Uraume, it was butchered by the author due to the pacing issues.

However, providing the worst and most confusing battle was not enough because the mangaka decided to do something much worse. They decided to take away his iconic Jordans and fans are crying rivers about it.

Gege Akutami Gives Hakari A Far Worse Fate Than Satoru Gojo

Gege Akutami’s JJK had summoned every sorcerer possible to go against Ryomen Sukuna, The King of Curses, where Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, and Megumi Fushiguro finally managed to kill the Dishonored One. However, amidst this epic battle, the entire Hakari vs. Uraume battle took place and was sidelined.

The fight was not only ignored but also left the entire fandom confused. What was once believed to be the most epic fight was soon considered to be the most confusing fight that became the victim of inconsistent pace. The fight began in chapter 237, then the fight was featured in chapter 245, where the sorcerer flaunted his skills and regenerated his lost limb in a second.

Fast forward to chapter 254, and both are seen discussing Sukuna’s new form. Again, their battle was shown in chapter 259, where both characters got only one panel for themselves. This left the readers utterly confused, but worse is yet to come.

In a panel shared by a fan (@Jotheories), the character would be seen topless, with his iconic Jordans missing. This made the entire fandom go nuts as they could not believe that Akutami-San gave him a fate worse than death, that is, taking away his style.

JJK Fans React To Hakari Losing His Jordans Right After His Sub-Par Battle

The victor of the high-stakes battle has left the entire fandom in confusion, where fans have been distraught as they were heartbroken and annoyed with Gege Akutami as they have not only ruined a good battle but left a lot of things unexplained.

The battle showed promise once the Drip King used his Domain Expansion as well, and Uraume’s abilities, the major flaw of being extremely inconsistent, ruined the essence of the battle. They tweeted on the post,

Though the sorcerer was fighting the battle where his victory decided the fate of the world, he believed that his drip must live on. Just like the sorcerer, Akutami-San knows their priorities as they prefer giving PTSD to their fans than featuring an epic battle that could have another star to the title.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll, whereas the manga can be read on Viz Media.
