Eiichiro Oda is great at foreshadowing scenarios in One Piece. There are several instances where his foreshadowing was overlooked or missed by the fans. When the things happened, fans realized it had already been mentioned. The same is happening with the admiral. The Navy Admirals are beasts and there are only a handful who can rival them in Haki and other abilities.
Eiichiro Oda has showcased this fact numerous times through his magnum opus, yet the fans never pay attention. All the Admirals have proved their strengths but remain criminally underrated. Even during the Egghead arc, Monkey D. Luffy’s facial expression changed after he felt Kizaru’s Haki.
Admirals Are No Less Than Yonko
Yonko are considered to be the most potent individuals in the One Piece universe. Most superhuman pirates, like Gol D. Roger, Shiki, Whitebeard, Shanks, etc., rose to the rank of Yonko. Even the Navy is extra careful when approaching a Yonko or their territories. However, fans often uplift the Yonko when power scaling comes into play. They barely even look at the Admiral. Admirals can go toe-to-toe with a Yonko.
There are tons of powerful feats of the Admirals, like Fujitora summoning meteorites from the sky, Kizaru traveling at the speed of light, Aokiji freezing an entire sea, etc. These are glimpses of their Devil Fruit abilities. Their Haki far exceeds their Devil Fruits. When attacking Mary Geoise, Karasu sensed two tremendous Haki approaching them. The Haki came from Greenbull and Fujitora. Even the old generation Admirals fought against a few of the greatest Pirates ever.
Monkey D. Garp and Sengoku were often fighting against the likes of Gol D. Roger and Edward Newgate. One Piece is based on Pirates fans who are going to be inclined towards them. Moreover, the protagonist is also a pirate. On the other hand, the Navy has different mentalities regarding justice, and harming people to uplift justice made the fans dislike them. However, if the fans could do proper research, they would find little to no difference between their abilities.
Fans React To Admirals Being Treated Unequally
Fans have always favored the Yonko more in comparison to the Pirates. After the Paramount War, people started to dislike the Navyeven more, but it did not diminish their power levels. When power scaling is involved, Admirals sit at the top of the food chain along with the Yonko. Fans have recently started to understand the abilities of the Navy. There are only a handful Navy soldiers who could reach the title of an Admiral, and there is a very good reason behind it.
Fans on social media commented on the Haki presence of the Admirals. Fleet Admiral Akainu is most likely to be present during the Final War. It has been long since he showcased his strength. With experience and training, he might have become stronger than he was during the Paramount War. Eiichiro Oda will have to be careful regarding the power scaling of the participants of the Final War. If not done with utmost care, it could potentially ruin the ending.
