Kratos has accomplished plenty of great feats during his career as the God of War. No matter how big or small his opponent can be, everything standing in his way will suffer the same fate as the God of Olympus. The recent release of Black Myth: Wukong ignited the debate about which God is more powerful and if the redeemed God of War has what it takes to defeat the Destined One in a straight fight.

Every god has a weakness and only one other God can beat the Destined One fairly. Tom Hiddleston’s version of Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can decimate anything now that he is the God of Stories.

Kratos Could Use the Blessing of the God of Stories to Vanquish the Destined One

The gaming community quickly pointed out the similarities between God of War and Black Myth: Wukong. Both franchises feature gods and their mythologies from their respective pantheons facing enemies of all manners and trying to accomplish a rare feat. Born as the son of Zeus, Kratos was plagued with terrible nightmares in his earlier years and was manipulated to serve the gods as he fought his way to freedom and ascended to godhood.

The God of War achieved several great feats like returning from the land of the dead. Fans suggest Kratos, even in his prime is not powerful enough to defeat the Destined One, but his son from a different multiverse may have something to say about that. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has been through one of the greatest character arcs known to man and reached the full potential of his godhood from the God of Mischief to the God of Stories.

Power scaling may vary since these omnipotent beings hail from different universes; however, the ability to alter time and rewrite history should give the Destined One enough reason to worry. The Ghost of Sparta could give Sun Wukong a beating of a lifetime but it will likely end in a stalemate, but the God of Stories could literally and figuratively alter the story to his liking.

The gaming community was eager to experience Black Myth: Wukong after earlier previews showed the Destined One can be brutal, cold-blooded, and act menacingly without much effort. Unfortunately, his menacing antic will only get him so far if he ever comes across the God of Stories.

All of these gods may be imbued with great power but they are nothing compared to one being who is in complete control of everything. Atreus from the God of War franchise is nothing like his Marvel counterpart and if he were to follow Kratos’ footsteps through the Spartan teachings, perhaps he would be a bigger threat.

Tom Hiddleston’s version of the character was once seen as a villain but his journey to godhood made him one of the universe’s most important heroes. The fate of the Multiverse rests in his hands and he has the power to shape the fabric of reality and make short work of any gods that pose a threat.

These tales of omnipotent beings are cut from the same cloth, and they can decide whether to use their godlike abilities for good or for personal gain. Sun Wukong best avoid crossing paths with the God of Stories.
