But so it happened when they starred as Barbie and Ken in this year’s blockbuster Barbie. Ever since then, fans can’t seem to have enough of the duo, calling them the perfect on-screen couple ever.
And now it has recently been reported that Robbie and Gosling would be replacing George Clooney in his 1.4 billion dollar Ocean’s franchise. This surprise casting has taken the world of social media by storm, with many claiming the movie is now a classic already thanks to its lead stars.

Margot Robbie And Ryan Gosling To Star In Oceans Franchise
When Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were cast as Barbie and Ken in Barbie, many heads were turned thinking how they would even fit together. Further questions about Gosling’s competence to play Ken and his expected chemistry with Robbie were raised. However, all such questions were laid to rest once Barbie came out, proving that the two stars make up a wonderful pair.
Now the pair would be starring in George Clooney‘s Ocean’s franchise’s prequel. Titled Oceans, they would be playing the parents of Clooney’s character Danny Ocean. Set up in the 1960s, the plot revolves around the two teaching their young kids Danny and Debbie (previously played by Sandra Bullock) how to steal from the rich.
It hasn’t been revealed yet who would be writing the script, but the movie would be directed by Jay Roach. No further plot details and casting details have been revealed as of now, but is expected that the movie will have a more modern take and might even set up potential sequels.
Even though Robbie and Gosling are the only stars confirmed, fans believe the franchise is in good hands.
