Back on October 2nd, it was announced on Twitter/X that Sony is planning to release a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle, which will be released on October 20th. It will provide players with a brand-new PlayStation 5 and a copy of the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game. So far, players are already attempting to jump at this opportunity, but unfortunately, this bundle isn’t available for another few days.
What Comes in This Bundle, and How Much Does It Cost?
Currently, there are two Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundles that have been released over the past few months. The first was priced at $600 and held a customised PS5 that used black and red face plates for the console, but sadly, this version of the bundle sold out at a rapid pace and will not be available for the foreseeable future.

Since this bundle has already sold out, Sony has now begun advertising a new bundle that will allow players to purchase a brand-new PS5 with a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and this bundle costs around $560. It will provide players with a great sequel to play on their new console. As an addition, Sony is also giving out free copies of older games for anyone who activates a brand-new PS5, and this deal is only available for a short amount of time.
So far, many PlayStation fans are already eyeing up this new bundle, as it will allow them to jump straight into the action of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from the day they obtain their new consoles. But for now, this bundle isn’t available and won’t be available until later this month. At the moment, this bundle isn’t ready for pre-order either, but it will most likely be available for pre-order in the next day or two.
Why Has Sony Released This New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 Bundle?
Over the past few months, there have been a few different PlayStation 5 bundles that have been released. Before this, there was a God of War Ragnarok bundle that gave players both a new PlayStation 5 and the God of War Ragnarok game, and this bundle sold a lot of units when it was available.
The main reason why these bundles have been released by Sony is that back in April, Sony revealed that it was aiming to sell 25 million units within this fiscal year and that it was prepared to take “necessary measures” to meet this target. And thanks to this Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle, there is a chance that Sony could reach this target that it has set.
These bundles aren’t the only deals that Sony is putting forward to try and attain their current target of 25 million units sold this fiscal year, as it has also begun providing free copies of games like The Last of Us Part 1 and Horizon Forbidden West, which is an active deal that is currently available until the 21st of October.
So for anyone who is looking to purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle, there is a chance that they could also claim another free game on top of what they have already obtained.
