The Ending Scene Of The Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Predator Movie Was A Bit Confusing

The film Predator (1987) is all about a group of soldiers with a scientist who team up to fight off the invading force of the predators and save mankind. The protagonist of the film was Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he survived till the end. But that is what didn’t go well among some fans as it was contradictory watching the sequels of the original Predator.

A Reddit user named Hungry-San recently popped up with a question asking about the credibility of the last scene that was shown in the first film of Predator. The film Predators released in 2010 established the fact that predators welcome people to try and kill them as that would make them aware of their weaknesses and it would be helpful for the next predators to learn from it. But, then why in the first film Predator (1987) the predator explode itself by providing enough chance for the protagonist to escape? It cost itself the footage that could have been used for the betterment of the new predators.

Further, the fan theory suggests that in Predators (2010) when a predator killed one of the main characters, he got rewarded for it but that didn’t happen in the original movie. Apparently, the contradiction does make a point, but another user pointed out a crucial point cutting the theory.

The Crucial Point That Fans Did Miss But User Brought It Up

The way the predator took itself out by exploding a time bomb has also been called a “dishonorable way” to go out. In reply to the previous statement, one of the fans commented that making things up after a decade doesn’t prove any point.

The character of Predator from the recent Predator movies doesn’t resemble the original one and it’s not the fault of the original movie. The first film Predator was made way back in the nineties and the latest ones came up after two decades.

Currently, the franchise has been revived with the latest installment that was released in 2022 by the name of Prey. It doesn’t have the Terminator star in the sequel, but the fans would love to see something retained from the original Predator movie.
