Vin Diesel has been pretty busy for the last few years with his long-running franchise, Fast & Furious. Despite their huge fan-following and impressive track record, the popularity of the franchise has been dwindling. Yet, the actor will be giving the movie series a last chance as he is reportedly working on the last ever movie of the franchise.
While fans have been giving mixed reactions to the end of the F&F franchise, Diesel’s knack for franchises does not seem to be ending soon. As per his recent Instagram post, the actor seems to hint that he might be working to bring a sequel to the $146 million critically panned movie, The Last Witch Hunter.

Vin Diesel‘s Fast & Furious franchise seems to have run out of fuel as the actor is reportedly working on the last installment of the movie series. While fans have had mixed reactions to the Diesel-helmed car racing movie series (see Reddit), the actor himself is not over his fondness for sequels.
As per a recent Instagram post, the actor seems to hint that he might be secretly working to bring a sequel to his box office bomb and critically blasted action fantasy movie, The Last Witch Hunter.
“Throwback Thursday…I have been blessed to embody so many iconic characters… some universal, and some that only some of you know. It was an honor to bring an immortal to the screen for Lionsgate… someday I will explain where my head and heart was and why the character of Kaulder was so significant to me… it was a powerful moment in my life, as many of you know. Can’t wait until you see where the immortal goes next. All love, always…”
Somewhat inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, the movie was made against a budget of $90 million and grossed only about $146 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo). Despite now having a cult following, the movie has some of the worst critical reviews with only 18% on Rotten Tomatoes.
While no official confirmation has been made, it will be worth waiting and watching whether Diesel’s endeavors to craft a sequel to The Last Witch Hunter will prove fruitful or succumb to the fate of its predecessor.
Vin Diesel Working On The Last Fast & Furious Movie
Ten movies and more than two decades later, the Fast & Furious franchise has finally run its course despite fans believing that Vin Diesel would never let it end until his last breath. Well, surprisingly the time to say goodbye to it is finally upon us since the last movie in the franchise, the eleventh installment is reportedly in the works.
Seeing the reception of the 10th film, the decision to end the franchise seems natural if not obvious (see Reddit). While the news of the eleventh installment was already known, the movie being the end of the mainline franchise was surprising as was evident in in the comment section of his Instagram post where Diesel announced this news.
However, it seems the franchise will not really be ending given the possibility of spinoffs starring the numerous actors and characters who have become part of the family in these past two decades. Yet it will be worth seeing whether the movie will really be a celebration of the incredible family, as Diesel stated in his Instagram post, or will it be another addition to what fans claim is a dying franchise.
