Acting Legend Tom Wilkinson of ‘Batman Begins’ Fame Passes Away

Actor Tom Wilkinson, who is well-known for his incredibly diverse range, has passed away at the age of 75. The actor’s agent announced his death in a public statement, requesting privacy for his family and friends. Thanks to his distinctive acting skills and strong on-screen presence, the actor has earned various awards throughout his career, including a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy Award, and nominations for two Academy Awards.

Wilkinson made his acting debut in 1976 and worked on several British television series, most notably the mini-series First Among Equals (1986). Hollywood star Tom Wilkinson has passed away at his home at the age of 75. His agent announced his demise on behalf of his family in a statement (via DiscussingFilm),

“It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on 30 December. His wife and family were with him. The family asks for privacy at this time.”

Three years after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, Wilkinson made his acting debut in 1976 and went on to bag various small roles in movies and TV shows. The actor gained worldwide recognition after he played Gerald Arthur Cooper in The Full Monty (1997).
