The popularity of the Star Wars franchise is undeniable. Given the massive fanbase of the sci-fi film series, it is expected that Adam Driver’s antagonist portrayal would surely have after-effects. Talking to Chris Wallace on CNN, the 40-year-old actor opened up about how he is reminded of his act till now. Reacting to Wallace’s revelation that he killed Harrison Ford on-screen, Driver laughingly said,

I know. Yeah, somebody reminds me of that every day. Not every day but it used to be more but now it’s probably once a month.”

Following that he was asked about his thoughts on killing Ford’s character. Driver recalled,

“I remember shooting that day. And it didn’t feel like that at all obviously. John Williams wasn’t playing in the background. And it was very emotional actually, shooting it Harrison. Harrison was so generous and contemplative and to me, that was a great moment on set even though it was his death.”

The powerful presence of the Indiana Jones star humbled Driver during the shoot of Ford’s final scene. Driver revealed that despite the scene being the star’s death, it remains a beautiful on-set moment for him.

Why did Kylo Ren kill Han Solo?

In The Force Awakens, Driver’s Kylo Ren a.k.a. Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, pierced his lightsaber through his father, killing him. A former pupil of the Jedi, led by Luke Skywalker, Kylo was influenced by Snoke, the First Order’s Supreme Leader and stepped to the dark side. Hence, Kylo Ren had many reasons to kill his heroic father.

To show his commitment to the dark side, and establish himself as a true member, Kylo Ren decided to kill Han Solo. However, the effect was overturned and Kylo was made guilty of his act. This laid down the plotline for the sequels. As per ScreenRant, the evil act of Kylo was countered because Han Solo was willing to give up his life to be closer to his son. As a result, Han’s love for Ben Solo canceled the latter’s dark side attempt.
