Brie Larson’s The Marvel Bombarded With Dislikes

Despite being commercially successful at the box office, the 2019 Marvel film, Captain Marvel, was not received very well by many MCU fans. They shared their issues with the 2019 film and its lead star Brie Larson on social media. And their opinion doesn’t seem to change much as Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer of its sequel, The Marvels.

The trailer was released earlier this week, and many found it impressive. However, several Marvel fans do not like the trailer and consider The Marvels to be another failure of the MCU. So far, the trailer has garnered over 15 million views with more than 450,000 likes and over 500,000 dislikes.

With more than half a million dislikes, The Marvels trailer has become one of the most disliked MCU trailers. There is also a possibility that the dislike count not being entirely accurate, as YouTube removed public access to the dislike counter in 2021. The reported count is measured with the extensions that allow the function.

Why Do Some Marvel Fans Not Like Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel?

Marvel fans’ deviated opinions about Captain Marvel and the film started before the release of the 2019 film. It was the first female lead solo MCU movie, and Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, was slated to be the most powerful superhero in the MCU. Many Marvel fans seemingly did not find the idea pleasing, leading to hate campaigns against the film on social media.
