The pre-production has already started, and the film is expected to go on the floor in the second half of this year. The first film collected a massive $155 million on a budget of $44 million, which suggests that the sequel will likely have a bigger budget.
Along with the director and the screenwriter, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons and Jon Bernthal are expected to return in the sequel.
