John Wick Star, Adrianne Palicki’s career has been a bit of a rich tragedy. She was cast as Wonder Woman in a 2011 series, long before Gal Gadot adorned the lasso, only for the series to get scrapped. She featured in John Wick, only for her character to get killed early in the series. Throughout her time in Hollywood, she has worked with the biggest names and featured in the biggest projects, only for nothing to come from it. Despite this, there was one series that she was proudly a part of, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Playing the role of Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird, she played this character so well that she became a fan favorite. She, alongside Nick Blood, who played the role of Lance Hunter, stole the show and became the highlight for many. So much so that the franchise was interested in creating a spin-off series featuring the two called Most Wanted. Things, however, took a turn for the worse when this did not follow through.

John Wick Star Was Going To Feature In The Spin-Off

Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter were two of the most beloved characters in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, their stories constantly intertwined with each other. With how much fans loved these two characters and wanted to see more of them, Marvel decided that it would be a good idea to give them a spin-off series. They titled it Most Wanted and as these characters could not feature in two series, Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood were written out of the parent series.

After some back and forth, the series was finally told to start working on a pilot episode and all of this was confirmed by Jeferry Bell, the showrunner of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and fans were ecstatic. The episode was called Parting Shot and would show these two characters trying to cope with all that happened during their farewell episode. New characters from the comics would also have made appearances. When this episode was submitted, however, the cast and crew did not get the answer they were hoping for.

Most Wanted Was Eventually Cancelled

The studio wasn’t satisfied with the pilot that was submitted, as told by Channing Dungey, the head of ABC Entertainment Group, via /Films. He revealed that they did not think that this episode was as strong as other pilots that they had seen in the part. This made them hesitant to proceed with the series. Ultimately, they had conversations with Marvel and it was decided that it would not be wise for them to continue with the production of this spin-off series.

A still from Agents of SHIELD

“Most Wanted, ultimately at the end of the day, did not feel as strong as some of the other pilots that we shot. We talked about it with Marvel and we all came to an agreement that we want to figure out what the next show is that we do together, is something that we all feel is as creatively strong as it can be.”

This deeply disappointed fans, who tried everything to make the executives change their minds, however, it was to no avail. While Nick Blood managed to make his way back into the series in its fifth season, the same cannot be said for Adrianne Palicki. The fans were forced to say goodbye to the John Wick actress through the episode that was meant to lead into their spin-off show, giving it quite a haunting feeling.
