Netflix reportedly reconsidering Liam Hemsworth’s place in The Witcher

Not long after Cavill officially left the helms of The Witcher, Netflix announced Liam Hemsworth as the new lead for the show, even before the release of the third season, which will mark the final appearance of Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. But it appears that Netflix is now reconsidering the place of Hemsworth in The Witcher after he allegedly sued Miley Cyrus over the song Flowers.

Following the drama surrounding The Hunger Games actor and his ex-wife Miley Cyrus, it seems that the actor has allegedly filed a case of defamation against the Wrecking Ball hitmaker. And as a result, reports state that Netflix has been quite hesitant about keeping the actor at the forefront of The Witcher.

Liam Hemsworth reportedly suing Miley Cyrus over the song Flowers

Despite once being one of the most adored couples in the entertainment industry, who eventually tied the knot in 2018 after their decade-long romance, their marriage eventually failed as their divorce was finalized in 2020. But even though the two have shifted away from their roots, Miley Cyrus once again lambasted the actor through her song Flowers, in which she took a subliminal dig at the actor.

And even though the Singer didn’t mention The Hunger Games actor in the song, one could identify that it was a clear shot at their failed relationship. And it appears that Hemsworth wasn’t quite relished by the song, which was released just hours before the actor’s 33rd birthday. And according to some recently leaked documents, it seems that Hemsworth is taking legal action against her ex-wife by allegedly suing Cyrus for defaming him.

But despite the gravity of the situation, the veracity of the leaked documents has not been confirmed. And considering that neither Hemsworth nor Netflix has stepped forward in response to the situation, the legitimacy of the entire situation is still in question.

The first two seasons of The Witcher are available to stream on Netflix.
