Artists Equity Will be Undertaking A Project Starring Jennifer Lopez

Run by long-time best friends and renowned actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and backed by RedBird Captial Partners, Artists Equity is a production company that was launched just last November in 2022. With Affleck, 50, taking the reins as the CEO and the Jason Bourne star operating as the Chief Content Officer, the company is already awaiting the release of its first feature starring both the business partners along with Chris Tucker and Viola Davis named Air. The Dawn of Justice star served as the film’s director as well.

While their debut venture is still a couple of weeks away from hitting the cinemas, Artists Equity already seems to have another project, currently titled Unstoppable lined up. The film is set to star Affleck’s wife, actress, and singer, Jennifer Lopez.

Based on the life of a famous three-time All-American wrestler, the film narrates the true story of Anthony Robles, the winner of Arizona State’s national championship who was born with one leg. While the Shotgun Wedding star is set to lead the new sports drama, award-winning American film editor William Goldenberg will be marking his directorial debut with Unstoppable. Goldenberg, 63, is widely acknowledged for editing Argo for which he also bagged an Oscar. He recently collaborated with Affleck on Air.

Unstoppable will be Affleck and Lopez’s first professional collaboration after their marriage. The pair first joined forces back in 2002 in Martin Brest’s box-office fiasco Gigli which ended up turning out to be an underwhelming source of entertainment at best and an exorbitant financial flop at worst.
