Things have been quite tough for the Hollywood star, Tom Holland recently as the American actor recently announced a year-long break from acting after he portrayed the lead role in Apple TV’s mini-series, The Crowded Room. Now, according to sources, things aren’t looking good for his girlfriend, Zendaya, career-wise either – as her show, Euphoria is allegedly not going to make it to this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.

Euphoria is not going to make it in time for this year’s Emmy Awards

Every series whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or documentary has to release a minimum number of episodes before 31st May for public viewing to be eligible to be considered for Primetime Emmy Awards. For a drama series like Euphoria, the series should have released at least 6 episodes to be considered for the awards. However, the filming for the 3rd season of the series has not even started as of yet let alone being nominated for Primetime Emmy awards.

Therefore, Euphoria will be missing the Primetime Emmy Awards which will be taking place on 13th September, later this year.

Tom Holland’s announced his sudden year-long break after working on The Crowded Room

In the Apple TV mini-series, The Crowded Room, Tom Holland plays the role of Danny Sullivan, a character based on Billy Milligan, or William Stanley Milligan, the first person who was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, and his lawyers pleaded insanity on his behalf as his defense on trial. However, working on such an intense role was too much even for an A-lister like Tom Holland and the English actor recently revealed in an interview that he is going to be taking a year-long break from acting for now. He said,

“I’m no stranger to hard work. I’ve lived by the idea that hard work is good work. Then again, the show[The Crowded Room] did break me. There did come a time when I needed a break and disappeared and went to Mexico for a week and had time on a beach and laid low. I’m now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was. I am excited to see how it turns out. I feel like our hard work wasn’t in vain.”

Tom Holland also recently talked about how despite being a big fan of making movies, he does not like Hollywood as such. Therefore, he is going to be taking a year-long break in order to spend more quality time with his family and friends for the time being.
