Zack Snyder has been probably one of the most important and fundamental directors to build the DC Cinematic Universe as we see it today. With movies pertaining to his style and his characters, it all stopped when he was fired from the DCU (formerly DCEU) and was not allowed by Warner Bros. Discovery to return.

It seems, however, that the winds changed their direction once again in favor of Zack Snyder with the release of The Flash. As per the director of the film Andy Muschietti, The Flash works as an homage to Snyder’s DCU and he urges the American director to watch the movie.

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Andy Muschietti, the director of the upcoming The Flash, talked about the various storylines in the DCU. What’s interesting to note is that the director seems to have a liking for the Snyderverse and essentially stated that The Flash is an homage to the 300 director’s impact on the DCEU.

“I would love Zack to watch this movie. I think we honored the part of the movie that he created in terms of characters and characterizations. And cast. So, I think he would enjoy it.”

And from what we have seen, it is not just Andy Muschietti who is in love with Zack Snyder! The star of the movie, Ezra Miller, went into attack mode when it was rumored that The Flash would erase the Snyderverse entirely from the DCU.

“No power or force in any known megaverse would or could ever erase Zack Snyder’s mighty wrkz. You can take that quote. Take that to the bank, to the press, to the schools, to the military, to the other pillar of capitalism I’m forgetting cause of that thing where if you try to think of a group of things you always forget one of them.”

With rave reviews and a high critic rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, The Flash is all set to hit the theater screens on 16th June 2023 across the U.S.
