Ever since David Corenswet has been announced as the new Superman in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy, the world has speculated about who the new Batman is going to be. With Ben Affleck giving a cameo in 2023’s The Flash, the actor doesn’t seem to be interested in reprising the role of Gotham’s caped crusader.

Reacher fits the bill. 6'2+, built like a wall. Knows how to play a big guy fighter. Stoic but moments of playfulness. Stone cold badass, but heaps of empathy for victims and innocent.
I think Alan can genuinely shine in Gunn's DCU as Batman.

Tom Cruise starred in the role of Jack Reacher back in 2012 with his film Jack Reacher and once again in 2016 with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The movies weren’t that successful and a decision was made to cast Alan Ritchson in the lead role for Prime Video’s Reacher. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ritchson revealed that he had his fair share of doubts before taking on such a gigantic role!
“The scariest point in my career was deciding whether or not I could take on a role like Reacher with one of the highest-selling book franchises in the world, a well-known character that had been played by the other greatest action star of all time [Tom Cruise].”
Well, the actor proved himself indeed since Reacher, having 2 seasons to its name was renewed for a third season and fans love it. The Prime Video series received a rating of 8.1/10 on IMDB and a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and is available to stream on Prime Video in the U.S.
