Ahead of the release on October 27, the Alan Wake 2 preload details have been confirmed on the official social media site. It has been a long time coming for fans and their patience has certainly been rewarded.
Thirteen years after the original survival horror smash hit game first thrilled players worldwide, the continuation of the Alan Wake story is a matter of days away.
Currently available to pre-order, the game is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows. Given that the game was confirmed in May to be released in a digital-only format, it has maintained a low price which will be a great selling point for prospective players. The standard edition is retailing for £39.99 with the deluxe edition a mere £54.99.

For those looking to plan for the Alan Wake 2 preload, you should consider clearing out some of those games you haven’t played for some time. PlayStation owners should have around 85 GB freed up, whereas those who favour the Xbox Series X/S console only have to accommodate roughly 82 GB.
PC gamers who see this as the only way to experience the game to its fullest, need to part with approximately 86 GB.

We’re not sure that these few will impact the projected sales for what is one of the most eagerly awaited follow-up games of the last 13 years; however, everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this matter.
The game itself may be seen by fans as a change from the norm, given that players can play as Alan Wake or FBI agent, Saga Anderson, in two separate storylines, which can be played in any order. However, it has been noted that the game can only be started as Saga and concluded as Alan, respectively.
Given how well Alan Wake was when it was released in 2010, there is a high expectation for the next instalment to live up to what fans have envisioned in their 13-year wait.
Just how it stands up to this expectation remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, in a mere matter of days, fans will be returning to Bright Falls in droves.
