Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey burst onto the scene last year and while it was critically panned, it ended up making a lot of money in the Box Office, warranting a sequel that will be released soon.
Interestingly enough, there are now more movies that have been planned in what is now called the Twisted Child Universe, leading to Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.
All Six Movies In the Twisted Childhood Universe
According to Bloody Disgusting, Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is set to hit theaters on March 26th, 27th, and 28th through Fathom Events, marking the sequel to last year’s viral sensation that amassed nearly $5 million at the box office. With ITN Studios & Jagged Edge Productions fully invested in their Twisted Childhood Universe, the next step involves an ambitious Avengers-style crossover.

Expanding the universe, alongside the previously announced standalone films like Bambi: The Reckoning, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, and Pinocchio Unstrung, the sequel will introduce new characters such as Sleeping Beauty, The Mad Hatter, and Rabbit from Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey.
”All of these characters will come together in Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble in 2025 when the monsters join forces to take down the world.”
As already noted above, the success of Blood & Honey has paved the way for a wave of childhood favorites twisted into horror movies, with Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble set to culminate this trend in 2025. This film will see various characters from the twisted childhood universe join forces to confront global threats.
Jagged Edge Productions, the studio behind these projects, appears poised to fully embrace this concept and take it to new heights.
What Do The Producers Have To Say About The Twisted Childhood Universe?
Producer Rhys Frake-Waterfield of Jagged Edge Productions describes the upcoming film Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble as complete carnage, drawing inspiration from movies like Freddy vs. Jason and The Avengers. He explains that the movie will feature villains grouping together to go after their survivors, with shocking set pieces and sequences planned. The standalone movies currently in production are all building towards this crossover event.
“It will be complete carnage. We are heavily influenced by Freddy vs. Jason and The Avengers. We would love to see a horror movie where the villains group together and are going after their survivors. We have some incredible set pieces in mind and some sequences I think will truly shock people. The movies we are working on now as stand alones are all building towards Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.”
Scott Chambers, another producer at Jagged Edge Productions, elaborates that Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble will follow iconic characters like Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, and others joining forces to wreak havoc, similar to The Avengers.
The film will have a larger budget and will include epic sequences of monster vs. monster battles. Chambers also mentions that Easter eggs hinting at the crossover will be present in the standalone movies, and conflicts among the villains will add to the excitement of the film.
“Similar to The Avengers we will follow Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Piglet, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Bambi, The Mad Hatter, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell joining forces to wreak havoc. We are working with a larger scale budget on this one and are excited for what the future will hold. When you see the stand alone movies you will see the easter eggs hinting toward the crossover. Some of the villains also will not see eye to eye which will allow for some carnage within the group in some epic sequence of monster vs monster.”
We will have to wait and see whether the Twisted Child Universe will end up becoming a lucrative franchise overall.
