First kisses are always special and Nicolas Cage will seemingly never forget his. The actor once recalled that he was 9 when he had his first kiss and it made him feel like “a man.” Born into the Coppola family, Cage has seen Hollywood life closely ever since he was a little kid.
Thanks to his versatility and talent, he has earned various prestigious awards including an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe. He is well-known for his performances in blockbuster hits like The Rock (1996), Con Air (1997), Face/Off (1997), Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), the National Treasure film series (2004–2007), the Ghost Rider film series (2007–2011), and Kick-Ass (2010).
Nicolas Cage talked about his first kiss
Earlier this month, actor Nicolas Cage appeared for an interview with W Magazine and recalled his first kiss. The actor explained that he was at a YMCA camp when it happened,
“I think I was about nine and my family sent me away to a YMCA camp. I was in my sleeping bag and the camp counselor lit the campfire and everyone went to sleep – and a young girl was tapping on my shoulder, woke me and she put her arms around me and kissed me – I felt great, it was like, ‘What’s happening?’ and she was nine too and I was like, ‘Wow, am I a man?'”
Cage attended Beverly Hills High School and after that, attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. It was here that he first formed the vision of becoming an actor. His original name is Nicolas Kim Coppola, but he used Nicolas Cage as his stage name to avoid nepotism allegations, being Francis Ford Coppola’s nephew.
Nicolas Cage is a huge fan of Margot Robbie
In the same interview, Cage praised Margot Robbie’s acting skills, revealing that he is a huge fan of her work. The actor said,
“I’m a huge admirer of Margot Robbie – she’s one of my favorite actors, I hope she gets it this year. I loved it [Greta Gerwig’s Barbie].”
Barbie was certainly loved by many as the film broke several records. Grossing over $1.1 billion at the global box office, Barbie became the highest-grossing film of 2023 and the 14th highest-grossing film of all time.
