Amber Heard was engaged in a defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp that eventually went in the latter’s favor. Despite missing the chance to right her wrongdoings, she kept challenging the court’s verdict which harmed no one but herself. Now that she has eventually closed that chapter, something went unnoticed.
The actress was burdened with heavy compensation for losing the defamation lawsuit however it didn’t mean that she would not try to get her hands on some profits. Last year, a report surfaced that stated that she made a lucrative deal after selling her Mojave Desert estate.
Amber Heard Sold Her Mojave Desert Home!
The 36-year-old infamous celebrity, Amber Heard as per TMZ offloaded her Mojave Desert estate in California’s Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree National Park. The estate was sold off for a whopping $1.1 million with a closing date of July 18, 2022.
As per reports, the property was purchased through an anonymous trust in 2019 which reportedly had ties with the Aquaman actress for just over $570k.
Records shared that a non-famous married couple bought it from her however she never involved herself directly in this deal. While she ended up with much profits in her hand, it is because she bought that pre-pandemic.
When the pandemic hit the world, property values have mostly gone up. While this used to be one of the prominent relaxing spots for her, she eventually racked up much profit by letting it go.
An Outlook on Amber Heard’s Former Estate
Built-in 2015, Heard’s former lavish estate features a three-car garage, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms on more than 2,400 square feet. Other than that, it also has other amenities like concrete floors, LED lighting throughout, a surround sound system, and a very custom, 110-foot wooden bridge in the backyard.
What’s more captivating about this home is the estate’s 110-foot bridge, which was built by a former owner before the mother of one bought the property. It leads to a staircase that ends up at the rugged hillside behind the house.
An insider told Mirror that the actress loved spending her time on the property.
“It’s the one place she can get away from everything. She’s really connected with the artistic community there, and feels she experiences a true getaway.”
She eventually had to let it go with a massive profit amid the financial trouble she was facing after losing the defamation lawsuit. She was ordered to give her ex-husband, Johnny Depp $10.35m in damages after she lost the case while Heard was awarded $2m for her counter-claims. The duo eventually ended the saga with Heard’s insurance company settling the case by paying $1 million to The Tourist actor.
