His plans and vision for reinvigorating the footing that the DC Universe had lost were quite exemplary as he successfully got Henry Cavill back into the franchise. Not to mention that he was set to star in the eleventh major DCU release – Black Adam.
However, new DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran decided to do a 180 on The Rock’s vision- first, by excluding Black Adam from the ‘first chapter’ of the DCU, and second by booting Henry Cavill from the Superman role that he had just got back. Despite the disappointment, Dwayne Johnson will be happy to know that there are people who still root for him.
Teddy Long Praises Dwayne Johnson, Says He Doesn’t Forget People Who Help Him
When things just don’t go right in life, you need a support system to work your way through the failure(s). This could be your friends, family, and even your fans, given you’re a celebrity. Dwayne Johnson definitely has a solid support system as we can concur from the recent comments made by his former WWE colleague Teddy Long.
During an appearance on the One and One podcast, the former legendary WWE manager and professional referee had nothing but words of praise for his longtime friend in the wrestling industry. The 75-year-old praised The Rock for taking out time to help the people who helped him when he was struggling in the earlier days of his career-
“Well, god bless him, man. I was right there, kind of with him for the little bit of his struggle, but we have seen where he started and where he’s come from. So, god has really blessed him, and one thing about him – he doesn’t forget the people who were helping him on the way up.”
“He certainly goes up and sees about those people that certainly helped him get where he is today. So kudos to The Rock, man. Merry Christmas to him, and keep on having all the good luck,” said Teddy Long.”
Dwayne Johnson seems to be a perfect example of a celebrity one should seek to idolize. He’s smart, funny, ambitious, a blockbuster actor, an amazing person, and humble in fame!
Dwayne Johnson Gets Praise From Kurt Angle Too!
It’s no doubt that every person who grew up with WWE playing 24/7 on their TV channels in the 2000s and 90s has witnessed the stunning rivalry of wrestling greats Kurt Angle and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
And after all these years, and all those high-profile standoffs and matches in the famed ring, Kurt Angle has shown nothing but love for Johnson. And he has particularly been impressed by how well his former rival has done in the acting industry.
During a recent interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling, the former Olympic Gold medalist said-
“The guy is kickin’ butt and taking names, man. And, you know, I’m so proud of him. Every day he has something going on, whether it’s a movie of XFL or his production company, he has had an incredible career and he’s one of the top guys in Hollywood right now.”
“If not, he might one of the richest guys in the world at this particular time. Guy’s doing an amazing job. And everything he does turns to gold,” said Kurt Angle.”
