With less than a week away from hitting the big screens, the hype surrounding Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool threequel couldn’t be much higher, as it could be a make-or-break deal for the MCU. Considering the last few years have been less-than-thrilling for the cinematic giant, both Kevin Feige and fans will hope that Deadpool & Wolverine will be the one to put MCU’s train back on track.
Moreover, each new report regarding the threequel further contributes to its enormous hype, especially one scene in general, which Reynolds deemed as perfection, thanks to Madonna.

Speaking of Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds recalled (via THR) visiting Madonna to ask the Hung Up artist to license the track Like a Prayer for the threequel. While the singer is not known for licensing her work, the Free Guy star and Shawn Levy succeeded in getting her on board.

Moreover, the acclaimed artist even provided helpful notes on how to incorporate the song into the sequence.
It was a big deal to ask for it and certainly a bigger deal to use it. We went over and met with her and and sort of showed her how it was being used, and where, and why… She gave a great note. She watched it, and I’m not kidding, [she said], ‘You need to do this.’ And damn it, if she wasn’t like spot on.
This led to them recording a new session within 48 hours of receiving notes from the singer, and according to Reynold, it further ameliorated the sequence.
We literally went into a new recording session within 48 hours to do this note. It made the sequence better.
While it won’t be until next week that we finally see the film and the scene for ourselves, following Reynolds’ comments, accompanied by Madonna’s notes, it’s safe to say fans are in for a thrilling ride.

Throughout his esteemed career, Hugh Jackman has headlined many acclaimed features, from Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige to one of the best superhero films of the 2010s, Logan. But among all of his experiences throughout his decades-long career, Jackman’s time on Deadpool 3 was one of the best experiences in his 25-year-long career.
He said:
The experience of making the movie was also one of the greatest of my career, and I’ve been playing Wolverine for 25 years. This experience exceeded anything I’ve done before as this character — and in many other movies, in anything. I loved it. And I think it shows on the screen.
You can feel the warmth. The movie has a warmth to it, and it’s funny, and it’s irreverent, and the action is crazy. But I think you can feel the friendship.
Considering how greatly Logan concluded Wolverine’s story back in 2017, it’s safe to assume it took a really good script to pull Jackman back to the role.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theatres on 26 July 2024.
