The Boys Prime Video series is progressing incredibly impressively so far, crushing multiple records as it continues on with its bombshell storyline. As of late, one of the most interesting elements has been Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train aka Reggie Franklin’s character arc, which has noticeably developed quite a lot since his rivalry with Jack Quaid’s Hughie.

But while this duo’s characters are still struggling with their respective arcs, the actors in real life are already onto something else. This comes after Quaid amusingly shared an idea of a fan-fiction of the saga, featuring his and Usher’s characters in the lead. And, ironically enough, his story could even go ahead to shatter the multiple records set by the saga.

Jack Quaid has the Most Epic Fan-Fiction Idea for Hughie and A-Train

While the arcs written for the characters by the higher-ups are one thing, Jack Quaid has developed a fictional story arc himself for Hughie. This he has done for a fan-fiction storyline that has been curated from his imagination, and, surprisingly enough (or perhaps unsurprisingly), this arc features Reggie Franklin in the lead as well.

This happened during a recent Terror Jar interview he took with his co-star Jessie T. Usher, where Quaid was met with the question: You’re writing fan fiction for your character, what’s the premise? To this, the 32-year-old actor originally started with a comparatively simple storyline before diving in to drop the bomb.

Sharing his perspective on how his story would start, Quaid said (via Prime Video Singapore on YouTube):

I want Hughie to win a radio contest where he gets front-row VIP seats to Billy Joel.

To this, Usher couldn’t help but ask if he could be his “plus one.” And, sure enough, Quaid had already planned that for him as he continued to confess:

Yeah, you’re my plus one. That’s canon in the fan fiction that A-Train, that’s how they make amends. They go to a Billy Joel show together.

Okay, they’re definitely on to something with this one, as Usher himself admitted. But what came next was the real bombshell revelation. According to Quaid:

A-Train’s like, “I love Billy Joel.” And Hughie’s like, “I never knew.” And then they make out. It’s sexy now. I made it. It happened.

Hilariously enough, the Reggie Franklin portrayer was having a very hard time keeping his laugh in while his co-star was telling this story. But as comedic as it is, this story is also incredibly genius. This is because not only does it make the two onscreen rivals in the Prime Video series make amends, but their respective stories also take a “sexy” turn.

That being said, assuming this story does end up materializing one way or another (if not by Quaid, then probably on Wattpad by some genius fan), it could actually end up shattering quite a few of the records held by the Prime Video series for its outstanding storyline.

So far, with its generously giving storyline (even though season 4 felt mostly like a filler), the adult drama Prime Video series has set up an impressive record with its viewership. And, surprisingly enough, this record has been set by the saga’s latest released season 4, which inevitably mostly felt like it was nothing more than just a filler season.

According to the internal streaming figures from Prime Video, the series is not only the streamer’s fourth most-watched TV season ever, but it also reportedly recorded a streaming audience of 55 million people worldwide, who watched a part of the saga during the span of 39 days, from its June 13 premiere to July 21 (via The Hollywood Reporter).

While this stands as an unbelievable turn of events since this latest season failed to amuse fans as much as the previous ones did, it can only be imagined just how much these viewership numbers would crash through the roof if the witty storyline Quaid has decided for his fan fiction ends up materializing in some form.

But Quaid only said that as a joke, so it can’t be said for sure if this could actually make its way to the screens or not.
