The Spider-Man franchise is arguably the most famous superhero franchise of all time. Ever since the early 2000s, the Spider-Man movies have brought our beloved web-slinging superhero to life on multiple occasions, and every time someone has portrayed the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, the fans have welcomed the new actor with open arms.

Andrew Garfield is best known for his portrayal of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Despite being really popular, The Amazing Spider-Man movies were not a part of the MCU so Marvel Studios finally introduced their own Spider-Man with Tom Holland playing the titular character and the franchise turned out to be a huge success.
There have not been many debates among fans ever since Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released about which Spider-Man movie franchise was the best. However, one fan recently took to Twitter and said that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie is far better than Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy.
The never-ending Spider-Man debate
Ever since Tom Holland made his debut in the MCU back in Captain America: Civil War, there has been going on a debate among Marvel fans about which Spider-Man franchise is the best. Some fans argue that Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man trilogy is the best while others make the same argument for Andrew Garfield’s and Tom Holland’s movies.
However, everything changed after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home back in 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home was the third sequel in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies in which Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield also joined the multiverse of Spider-Man. Everyone just decided to chill out and appreciate the art of a movie that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought to life for the fans.
Fans still think that Andrew Garfield’s movies were better than Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy

Some fans even agreed with the user and said that the storyline of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie is better than the storyline of any movie in Holland’s trilogy.

It definitely had better aspects of filmmaking except in regards to the writing. Even then, the story felt way more of a Spider-Man story than any of Tom’s ever did, it was just written poorly.

As much as people loved Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man: No Way Home is arguably the best Spider-Man movie to date. The only movie that comes even to Spider-Man: No Way Home is Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which was released last week and currently playing in theatres.
Both movies, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home are currently streaming on Netflix.
