When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their decision to separate after suffering a tumultuous marriage, Hollywood faced a massive blow. However, not for long did Angelina Jolie‘s kids have to stay without a father figure. Soon enough the actress’ brother James Haven intervened and took the kids under his wings. Appearing as a savior for the actress while she was busy handling the legal battles and her professional life, Haven served as a father figure in Brad Pitt’s absence.
Appearing for an interview on the 90who10 podcast, James Haven discussed how he altered his life to prioritize Angeline Jolie and her kids’ well-being. Speaking with co-host Jessica Entner, Haven admitted becoming protective over Jolie’s kids and taking great measures to serve as their father figure amid their parents’ split.
James Haven Became Protective Over Angelina Jolie’s Kids
During the interview with Jessica Entner, James Haven revealed standing by Angelina Jolie while her personal life “unfolded in the public eye”. Taking care of the family while Jolie struggled, Haven discussed the extreme measures he took, to be there for his sister’s children.
“That’s where it all started, it started with the protection of her and her children — my nieces and nephews. I set my life up so I can be present with whatever the situation. I want to be there for them or for her — whatever she’s going through.”

Explaining the necessity he felt of serving as the young children’s father figure, especially in their “formative years”, James Haven mentioned that it was only natural. Willing to offer proper guidance and care in the growing years to his nieces and nephews, Jolie’s brother took some hard measures and altered his life to be there for them.
“They’re becoming young adults early 20s. I think it’s just very natural and I just want to be there any time. Anytime I’m blessed to be in their presence, I want to be in their presence.”
Serving his sister in her time of need, Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven took care of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins Knox and Vivienne, while the notorious couple went through their divorce.
