SUMMARY

  • The MCU versions of Hulk and Iron Man would outmatch their anime counterparts due to their enhanced abilities.
  • Hulk is more powerful with superhuman strength and resilience while Broly loses sanity when transforming. Though both are associated with the color green, Hulk is more intelligent compared to Broly.
  • Similarly, Iron Man's power suit and battle experience makes him a stronger fighter compared to Millionaire Detective's protagonist who relies more on gadgets for investigations.

Interestingly, some anime characters seem to have been inspired by or are a counterpart of Marvel superheroes. Not only do they have identical personalities but also possess similar appearances and abilities. For example, Hulk can be compared to a Dragon Ball character while the lead character in Millionaire Detective has a strong resemblance with Iron Man.

Even though the anime characters are powerful to an extent, they pale in comparison to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) versions of Hulk and Iron Man. The two Avengers, played by Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. respectively, can outmatch their anime counterparts.

Anime Counterpart of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Hulk is a monstrosity with superhuman strength and resilience. It is fueled by rage and capable of vast destruction if not tamed. While Bruce Banner struggled to control his alter-ego, he eventually learned to regulate his anger. The Marvel character played by Mark Ruffalo even learned to exist in the Hulk form to bond with his inner monster after the fight with Thanos.

While Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner continued to grow in intelligence, the same cannot be said for his Dragon Ball counterpart. Broly loses his temper when he activates his Super Saiyan mode just like Hulk. Goku’s nemesis was even considerate of not making any mistakes during his fight and learned to adapt to the situation but that changed as the series progressed.

Unfortunately, Broly is often considered the least intelligent character due to his part in Dragon Ball Super. He allows rage to consume him to the point of losing his sanity and transforming into a mindless beast. Sure, uncontrollable rage makes Broly’s strength match that of the Hulk but he can be easily outwitted by the scientist Bruce Banner – a person with both brawn and brain.

Both characters are associated with the color green. Super Saiyan Broly’s light green hair is similar to that of Hulk’s gamma-radiation-powered skin. Moreover, they have a tendency to lose control when fired up causeing immense destruction.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man Has A Conspicuous Anime Counterpart

Millionaire Detective’s protagonist Kambe Daisuke has clear similarities with Iron Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Similar to the Marvel character portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., Detective Daisuke is a genius billionaire with a fascination for all things tech. He also comes from a wealthy family like Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, the son of industrialists Howard and Maria Stark.

Kambe Daisuke from Millionaire Detective

Kambe Daisuke uses his financial powers to develop new gadgets and solve mysteries. Meanwhile, the owner of Stark Industries creates armor suits and works on nanotech to fight supervillains and even outwit Titans like Thanos. Kambe’s technological inventions to solve crime can instead be related to Bruce Wayne, who is dubbed the ‘World’s Greatest Detective’ in the DC Universe.

If it ever came to a fight between Kambe Daisuke and Iron Man, the latter would crush the millionaire detective simply because he is more accustomed to battles and has the added advantage of an armored power suit. Daisuke’s inventions mostly involve cutting-edge gadgets that gain him an edge in investigations.
