As already established, Anne Hathaway never shied away from showing off her natural body in movies. She did the same thing for Love & Other Drugs, where Hathaway starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. The film focused on both of their dysfunctional relationships as well as their coping mechanisms, among other things. It was truly an interesting love story.

According to the film’s official trivia page on IMDB, the film’s director Edward Zwick joined Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal in bed, all naked, for a group shot to create a comfortable atmosphere. The shot was later used for the film’s poster, with Zwick digitally removed. Nonetheless, it was still a very weird method.

While speaking on The Jess Cagle Interview (via People), Hathaway discussed the struggles she had to face to prepare for her role. She revealed that she had to lose a ridiculous amount of weight in two weeks for the role, which took its toll on her body.

I’d lost an unhealthy amount of weight in two weeksI didn’t know anything about nutrition. I taxed my body, and my brain bore the brunt of it for a while. I just felt very anxious and very lost at that time.”

Thankfully, Anne Hathaway’s efforts were not in vain as she was one of the best parts of the movie, which even went on to win at the Oscars. It simply goes to show just how dedicated Anne Hathaway can be to any role and that’s all that matters.
