Charlie Cox and co. were recently at the D23 expo for an exclusive appearance of the Daredevil: Born Again cast. Alongside Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson were also present during the event. The team seemed to be in high spirits as they answered some questions about their upcoming show and how they were feeling about coming back to their characters after a gap.

After the Netflix and Marvel Studios’ partnership came to an end, it also meant the end for a lot of shows that were born out of this partner. And Daredevil was one of the first ones to be canceled, that too after three very successful seasons. But fear not fans, as Marvel Studios saw the error in their ways, and are bringing the cast back together for a brand new reboot of the previous storyline. And Cox has some interesting ideas for the same.

Charlie Cox Has Quite a Few Interesting Partnership Ideas For The MCU

After the end of Netflix’s Daredevil, fans thought that was the end of the road for Charlie Cox‘s Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. But proving us wrong, the studio brought in Cox for a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). It didn’t end there, as soon we got to see him in the Disney+ show, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022). And now he is ready to fully (re)embrace his role as Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in the upcoming Disney+ show, Daredevil: Born Again.

During Disney’s D23 Expo, Cox and the rest of the cast also sat down for a few interviews and talked about their show and what they hope to achieve with it. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cox was asked what he thought of having an appearance alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the MCU. RDJ was recently announced to have rejoined the Marvel Studios after he said goodbye to the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man in 2019 with Avengers: Endgame.

But he is back in the saddle, this time as a villain rather than a hero. He will be playing Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and fans cannot contain their excitement at the prospect of having him back in the MCU. And Cox seems to have similar feelings about the situation. He told Entertainment Tonight:

Playing this character, I always hope my path will cross with all sorts of characters in the MCU and certainly he would be very high up on that list! God knows if that’s something that would/could ever happen. Certainly, now anything feels like now anything can happen, and I hope that it does!

We can hardly imagine what it would be like to have Daredevil go against Doctor Doom. But as the actor said, “Anything can happen,” and we cannot wait to see it.

Not Robert Downey Jr., Daredevil: Born Again Could Have Another Interesting Cameo

Who wouldn’t want to share the screen with someone as amazing and talented as the Oscar-winning actor Robert Downey Jr. And though for a while, it felt like a pipe dream for the new crop of MCU to work with RDJ, especially after the death of Iron Man, things are looking pretty good once again. But, even if Charlie Cox would be ecstatic to get the chance to work with RDJ, it’s another possible character from the MCU he might share the screen with soon. And no! It’s not Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

During Disney’s D23 Expo, the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was released. And the trailer, while having fans excited with all the new tidbits, also gave us a glimpse of one character no one was expecting to show up. And that is none other than actor Mohan Kapoor, who plays Yusuf, father of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. And while it might not mean too much, chances of Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel showing up in Hell’s Kitchen is looking like quite the possibility right now.

We already know Cox’s Daredevil is part of the existing MCU canon. We have seen him in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and then again in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and now having Kamala Khan dying in Hell’s Kitchen could be another string tying Daredevil to the MCU, and we can only get more excited for it.
