Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is an upcoming DCU film directed by James Wan and focusing on Jason Momoa’s Aquaman siding alongside his brother to protect their precious kingdom against Black Manta. With James Wan at the helm of the movie as its director, the fans are beginning to get disappointed little by little.
In a recent interview, Wan clarified the rumors that Ben Affleck will not be a part of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Giving more reasons for people to hate the DCU, the director revealed that scenes of Batman were only kept for safety reasons so that they could explain the timeline!

James Wan Became Too Honest For His Own Good!
After Zack Snyder’s vision for the DCEU was left incomplete, James Gunn decided to take the matter into his own hands and create the DCU. James Wan, who directed the 2018 film Aquaman is one of the gems that DC Studios holds, and they were prepared to use him for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

With each delay and continuity issue, people started getting disappointed with the movie. In a recent interview with Empire (via X), The Conjuring director talked about how Ben Affleck’s scenes as Batman were going to be used only in case of emergencies and that the actor wasn’t actually a part of the movie!
“Probably not. All I’ll say is that those scenes were just to have something in the bank in case we needed to explain time continuity if we came out [before The Flash].”
And with the chaotic timelines and shifting tides, people took to the social media platform, X, to troll James Wan, Aquaman 2, and the entire DCU!
