Often hailed as one of the best by The Weeknd, Save Your Tears, released in August 2020, belongs to his fourth album titled After Hours. While the OG version of the song took no time to reach the fourth position on the US Billboard Hot 100, the 2021 remix with Ariana Grande topped the Hot 100 chart. It also became the best-selling global single of 2021.

Recently, when a clip from the performance went viral on Instagram, several fans claimed that Ariana Grande possesses a godly voice. Some fans even went on to compare the Sam & Cat actress’ voice to Taylor Swift. A fan @tampatroy locked horns against the Swifties and commented:

Ariana 100 times more talented than Swift

The comments continued to compare Ariana Grande with the other successful singers in the industry, most notably Taylor Swift. It is a topic of debate as both singers have different styles and do excellently in their respective niches. However, it will be a lie to deny that Ariana Grande is one of the best in recent times.

It was heavily rumored that Taylor Swift may appear in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film before the report was debunked by Entertainment Weekly. While fans might have missed the chance to watch Swift in a big movie this year, Ariana Grande is all set to take over the theaters with Universal Pictures’ Wicked later this year.

The two-part musical film adaptation of Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel faced loads of delays before finally locking its release dates. Grande has revealed that she had to do a lot to prepare for the role of Glinda the Good. In an interview with Variety, the MTV VMA winner claimed that she had to “deconstruct” her popstar image and transform her vocals to bag the role.

I had to completely erase popstar Ari — the person they know so well — because it’s harder to believe someone as someone else because they’re so branded as one thing. I had to really go all the way to strip that down.

Wicked: Part One starring Grande, alongside Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Jonathan Bailey, helmed by the Crazy Rich Asians fame Jon M. Chu, is set to clash against Disney’s Moana 2 on November 27, 2024. The second installment will hit the theaters on November 26, 2025.
