The famous singer tattooed her favorite character on her arm from her most loved movie, Spirited Away, which Hayao Miyazaki created.

It is a well-known fact in the industry that Ariana Grande is in love with Spirited Away and has posted about this several times on her social media handles. Spirited Away is often considered one of the best anime movies ever made. She took it a step further and tattooed Chihiro, one of the characters from the movie, on her arm.

Ariana Grande’s love for Spirited Away has always been a lot

Arian Grande has always been a massive fan of Spirited Away and takes inspiration from the series’ main character, Chihiro. Her parents are turned into pigs, and Chihiro has taken the responsibility of turning them back into humans.

In 2018, Ariana Grande took it to her Instagram, where she posted a story that said:

“Chihiro’s growth into a capable individual is a core factor to the movement of Spirited Away‘s plot. During her adventure in the Spirit World, she matures from an easily-scared girl with a child-like personality to match her age to a hard-working, responsible, and brave young girl who has learned to put her fears aside for those she cares for,”

Later on, she posted another story before revealing her tattoo in which she mentioned:

“To protect her friends and rescue her parents from a spell that has turned them into livestock, Chihiro sheds her former personality and adapts to her environment to become a courageous, quick-witted and reliable girl.”

After posting this story, in a follow-up, she revealed her new tattoo, which was of Chihiro, in an Instagram story

Hayao Miyazaki’s movie Spirited Away always had a significant impact on Ariana Grande

Spirited Away is always a common topic from Ariana Grande as she has used it many times using Twitter, which she has deactivated. She mentioned that:

“Pete and I just ate like the parents from spirited away,”

Unfortunately, Ariana Grande has deactivated her Twitter and is no longer active on that platform. Spirited Away is often claimed to be the most excellent anime movie of all time; a vast audience and Ariana Grande believe the same, too.

However, she was not always open about it. Still, slowly, she started revealing that she was an anime fan, which surprised many of her fans, considering this was the first time she had mentioned anything about anime.
