Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt’s father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger’s love for cigars is no news as the legendary actor has always been candid about his smoking habit. But many celebrities have tried to follow Schwarzenegger’s smoking which includes Pratt in the mix.
Not just behind the scene or in his daily life, Schwarzenegger has also smoked on screen several times. The action legend has smoked cigars in Predator, The Running Man, Last Action Hero, and many other movies in his career.
When Chris Pratt Smoked Cigar With Arnold Schwarzenegger
It was the best of times, it was the worst of time kind of situation for Chris Pratt when his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger invited the actor for a smoke. “He [Schwarzenegger] loves his cigar,” Pratt told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. When Fallon said that the action legend has taught him how to smoke cigars, Pratt said, “Yeah, he kind of taught me, too.” The actor also said that there is nothing manlier “than Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking a cigar.”
“And when you’re part of, you know, bringing his granddaughter into the world, he comes and he brings you a cigar and he’s like, ‘Let’s go out and smoke these.’ And I was like, ‘Okay,’ but I have asthma. So, I don’t like cigars. And I was like, ‘You got it, Arnold.’”
It was indeed a celebratory smoke as Pratt’s daughter and Schwarzenegger’s granddaughter was just born. Despite warning from his wife Pratt went on to smoke with Schwarzenegger anyway. “Katherine’s like, “What are you doing?” the Pratt said. “I was like, “I’m fine. I’m gonna be okay,” he added.
“And so I go and I smoke the cigar and I’m like, ‘This is good. Hmm. Oh, yeah. Cohiba? Nice.’ And then woke up the next day. Massive lung infection. But — Worth it.”
Pratt also said that it is hard to ignore Schwarzenegger’s invitation for a smoke. ‘There’s peer pressure, and then there’s… -Arnold Schwarzenegger,’” Pratt said. Schwarzenegger has been an expert on smoking cigars as many celebrities have tried it for the first time under his influence.

Jimmy Fallon Also Smoked Cigar Under Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Influence
On the show with Pratt Fallon also revealed that Schwarzenegger taught him how to smoke cigars. Of course, The Tonight Show host has smoked cigars earlier but he wanted to learn from the expert. “I said I want to understand it and how to do it and everything because I smoked a couple of cigars,” Fallon told Pratt about when the host asked for Schwarzenegger’s advice. “And I’m like, ‘You bite the end off and then you, like, lick the side,’” he added.
“‘You don’t bite and lick. What are you talking about? You don’t lick the cigar! You don’t lick it and bite it!’ So I go, I think I did. He’s like, ‘No!’ He goes, ‘Next time I’m in town, I’ll teach you. I’ll take you to a cigar bar, and I’ll teach you how.’ And he’s a man of his word. Called me on the phone, said, ‘Jimmy, it’s Arnold. I’m going to a cigar bar.’ And I was with Drew Barrymore and my wife, and I go, ‘Do you guys want to go to a cigar bar with Arnold Schwarzenegger?’ They’re like, ‘Let’s do it.’ We showed up, and we all smoked cigars. Come on. It was the best.”
When Schwarzenegger appeared on Fallon’s show, the host and the actor recalled the moment of smoking together. The action star recalled teaching Fallon how to smoke. “I said, put it between your teeth and then suck on just nice and slow, then the ashes will glow,” Schwarzenegger said. The actor also said that it was great that Fallon picked it up even though he complained about being a little dizzy at the moment.
