Arnold Schwarzenegger to Return With an Action-Thriller

Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to make his comeback as Terry Reynolds in Breakout. The action thriller follows his character Terry Reynolds attempting a daring prisonbreak to save his son, who has been falsely accused and jailed in a foreign country. He must get his son out and leave the country without being captured.

Filmmaker Scott Waugh is set to direct the movie, and the filming is expected to start this year in Eastern Europe. Waugh is popularly known for his work in the 2012 films Act of Valor and Need For Speed. He has also been working on the fourth installment in The Expendables franchise.

Producer and writer Richard D’Ovidio will work on the screenplay of the film. Breakout is produced by Greenland outfit Anton and Off the Pier Productions. The CEO of Anton, Sébastien Raybaud, has said that they are excited to work with Scott Waugh and “legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger.”

He also said that films like Breakout are perfect for Anton to continue to deliver the best and high-quality entertainment to its audience. The Predator star is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix series, Fubar, which will premiere next month on the streaming platform.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s First Scripted TV Series

Arnold Schwarzenegger is also set to star alongside Monica Barbaro in the upcoming Netflix series, Fubar. The spy-adventure series follows Luke Brunner and his daughter Emma Brunner and both of them work for the CIA. However, neither of them is aware of the other’s job until they’re both assigned to a single mission.

The eight-episode series is set to premiere on May 25 and will be the Commando star’s first scripted TV series. Apart from starring in the show, he also serves as an executive producer of the series and seems very excited about its release. Talking about the show, he said, “Fubar will kick your a*s and make you laugh, and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.”
