Arnold Schwarzenegger Went Shopping For the Film Crew

Arnold Schwarzenegger returned as the action lead of the 2013 film The Last Stand. The film follows Sheriff Ray Owens, who is on a mission to stop a drug lord from escaping Mexico. While the film was not very well received at the time of its release, it was praised for its action-packed story.

Its filming started on October 2011 in Belen, New Mexico, and Nevada initially and was also filmed in a number of different locations. However, within a month of starting filming, the star of the film was seen shopping at Walmart for some warm clothes.

The Predator star caused havoc as he made his way to Walmart late in the night. While his security team tried to control the crowd, he was buying some warm clothes for the film crew. A store employee told TMZ that Walmart managers alerted the in-house security team to control fans waiting for the Commando star.

The Last Stand Marked Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Return

The Last Stand celebrated the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead action star nearly a decade after his 2003 film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Although he did feature in The Expendables, he only had a cameo in the film. He reprised his role in The Expendables sequel in 2012, the second project he featured in since the 2003 Terminator movie, as he was busy with his political career at the time.

The role in the 2013 film was also not written for the Total Recall star. Liam Nesson was the initial choice to play Ray Owens in The Last Stand. While fans loved the film, many also noticed that the 2013 action thriller was not as notable as his earlier films. He recently again made his comeback and TV debut with his first Netflix feature, FUBAR, after starring in Terminator: Dark Fate and the 2019 film The Iron Mask.

The Last Stand is available on Hulu.
