For a considerable amount of time, Ash Ketchum has captivated viewers of the Pokémon anime series, drawing them in to watch him evolve into the greatest. He has repeatedly shown everyone on the planet that he is the most skilled Pokémon trainer there is. But his strength extends beyond Pokémon training.

The character can handle Pokémon that are far heavier than him, giving the impression that he has superhuman strength. This has been shown in the series multiple times and a Bodybuilder influencer has also recently tried to beat Ash in a pure-strength battle, by lifting weights similar to that of the Pokémon he has been carrying.

Ash Ketchum’s Physical Strength in Pokémon

Ash Ketchum is quite strong for a ten-year-old, and it’s not simply because of his Pokémon. Due to his extensive on-foot travels without the help of Hidden Machines, Ash has likely gained a great deal of physical strength. Ash’s tremendous power has allowed him to accomplish some stunning exploits.

His greatest accomplishment in terms of tugging and lifting power was probably hauling a massive Whiscash out of a lake with a fishing line; this specific example of a Pokémon from the Whiskers species probably weighed much more than the species’ average of 52 pounds.

In addition, Ash is observed holding a Larvitar, a diminutive Rock/Ground Pokemon that appears to be two feet tall but is actually over 159 lbs in weight. These are just some of the instances where Ash has shown tremendous physical strength, thus making him one of the strongest Pokémon trainers in the series.

Bodybuilder Tries to Beat Ash in a Pure Strength Battle

Recently a bodybuilder influencer on Instagram called @packapunchpanda shared a reel where he tried to lift weights similar to the Pokémon that Ash is seen carrying in the series to prove how strong the character is. He also tried to beat the character in the strength battle but he underestimated Ash Ketchum.

First, he tried to lift the weight equivalent to Beedrill. The Pokémon weighed 65 lbs and Ash was shown carrying the creature with his hand. The Bodybuilder was easily able to lift 65 lbs but looking at the age and build gap between the two, Ash’s strength was astonishing. Next, he tried to test his forearm strength by pulling weights equivalent to the Pokémon Fletchinder which is around 35 lbs.

That’s where the struggle started for the trainer as he found it extremely difficult. He tried some more lifting exercises that matched the weight equivalent to the Pokémon Ash has carried in the series, but eventually failed. This proved that Ash is quite strong for a 10-year-old and he has the ultimate sleeper build.
