Every year, when this grand competition of the world’s most talented athletes takes place, there is always an opening ceremony.

This year, at the Paris Olympics 2024, the opening referenced various moments in French culture and took the opportunity to mention and showcase a certain game from one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises. This event featured Assassin’s Creed Unity in one way or another.

Beyond the references, the event had a detail clearly based on this franchise, where the torchbearer wore an outfit very similar to those worn by the assassins in the game.

For this reason, fans are now requesting that the next title in the franchise include a limited-edition skin referencing the sporting event. This particular skin would be somewhat challenging to incorporate into the new game since it is set in Japan and has no direct connection, but the studio could make it possible.

Ubisoft Should Seize This Opportunity

On social media platforms like X, the fact that this reference was so obvious in the middle of such an important event was very well received by fans of the franchise.

This is why they now want this variant of the Assassin’s Creed Unity skin to appear in the next game of the franchise. Due to the studio’s strong ties to France, the community is eager to honor the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The only disadvantage of this potential collaboration is that the next title in the franchise takes place in feudal Japan.

Although this location bears little resemblance to France or the unique appearance of the skin, fans would still welcome the opportunity to utilize this aspect for additional content. There’s a strong likelihood of this crossover or collaboration becoming a reality.

For its part, Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed Shadows on November 12th for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. This game from the famous IP will feature two protagonists that players can switch between at any time.

Yasuke is a massive samurai known for his heavier and more powerful movements. On the other side is Naoe, a stealthy and lethal shinobi who can move through the shadows to kill any target she sets her sights on.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
