According to new reports from Insider Gaming, Hexe is going to be very different from other titles in the franchise. Ubisoft is aiming to make this entry more linear and will avoid making 150+ hours of secondary content that makes no sense. The protagonist will be a single woman.

The setting will take place in Central Europe during the 16th century, with the Holy Roman Empire serving as the primary feature of the world. Hexe will be released sometime in 2026 on the Infinity platform, which will hold all the future games of the franchise.

Ubisoft is working very hard to make this IP have its own ecosystem that players can access at any moment. According to the information, Elsa, the game’s protagonist, possesses supernatural abilities related to witchcraft and sorcery.

This will add a whole new group of mechanics to the game. Other rumors say that Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed Codename Red this year. The new entry will take place in Japan, and feature two protagonists: a ninja and a samurai.

This was one of the main places that fans were waiting for the franchise to reach; this could really change the opinion of fans and critics towards the saga, which has changed gaming forever. Rumors suggest that we will reveal this title sometime in June and release it in October.

With one game after the other, Ubisoft makes sure to really exploit the AC franchise, as there is no other IP that this company owns. But with the latest entry, players felt that the saga’s identity was fading away.

After many attempts, the studio is finally listening to the fans, and some very interesting pitches are coming in the next few years. Thanks to new reports, the future is looking brighter than ever.

Fans did not identify games like Assassin’s Creed, Valhalla, or Origins as belonging to this franchise, leading Ubisoft to adjust its strategy to refrain from releasing a game from this IP every year.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
