Amidst all the chaos, gamers have found another reason to hate on the game. A player created a poll on the Assassin’s Creed Shadows subreddit, asking fans to share their opinions on the game’s graphics. Judging by the results so far, it seems like fans believe Ubisoft could’ve done much better.

What about this looks "awesome"?
At Summer Game Fest 2024, Ubisoft revealed a new gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows and it seems like not everyone with impressed with what Ubisoft has created.
I'm not sure if this is satire or not…. The animations suck, the clipping in the first kill is huge and then your character glitches, the enemies are brain dead… For a stealth game this is average, sad to see ac not evolving

Without a doubt, some installments in the Assassin’s Creed series have been exceptional but with Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the anticipation was quite high since this was the first game in the franchise that is set in Feudal Japan.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is set in 16th-century Japan towards the end of the Sengoku period, will be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X/S, macOS and iPadOS on November 15, 2024.
Things Are Not Looking Good For Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ graphics is not the only reason why the game is getting scrutinized as the game’s contents have also caused controversies. One of the game’s two protagonists, Yasuke, is inspired by an African samurai of the same name, however, his depiction in the game has been criticised.
A petition was filed on Change.org in June to cancel Assassin’s Creed Shadows because the depiction of Yasuke is inaccurate and disrespects the Japanese culture. At the moment, the petition has crossed 90,000 signatures.
At the Japan Expo in Paris, Ubisoft revealed some merchandise and there was one item that caught everyone’s attention: Yasuke’s katana. People on social media pointed out that the katana’s design is copied from One Piece‘s Roronoa Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu.
The consequences of this were clear as Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ booth at the Japan Expo was visibly empty, in fact, many people sitting there only used the spot to rest or to watch Nintendo’s presentations, which was on the other side.
