Players Want Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Bring Back Hidden Blade

Assassin’s Creed is a series known for its stealth-based combat and immersive narrative. With Ubisoft looking to go back to the series’s roots, it looks like the upcoming title will not only take the series back to a stealth game by adding familiar mechanics but also allowing players to choose their protagonists, Naoe or Yasuke.

There are so many titles in the series, and all of them have their own unique mechanics, which makes the game feel different (without going too far away from the series’ appeal). However, with Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players also want to see the return of one mechanic called the Hidden Blade.

For those players who are not familiar with the mechanic, it is a weapon that is concealable and gets triggered when players are close to the target, making the assassination easier. Players love this mechanic and want to see it make a return with Naoe, one of the protagonists, as she is an assassin.

Even before its release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is based in Japan, has faced many controversies due to its inclusion of Yasuke as the protagonist. To regain that excitement, Ubisoft now needs to show its commitment to the player and their experience by introducing unique and familiar mechanics.

Some of the previous titles in the series have been a hit-and-miss but with Shadows, players are expecting a higher quality of gameplay and narrative experience. To meet these high expectations, Ubisoft should start listening to player feedback and take these considerations when adding features to the game.

In the end, players can only speculate and hope that Ubisoft will listen to their feedback and bring back the content the series is known for with Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
