Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a highly anticipated open-world title by Ubisoft that’s going to make its way to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on 15 November 2024. Given its massive scale and the promise of exploring feudal Japan, there’s a lot we can expect from the game.
In a new series of events, the studio is giving a chance to fans who would like to voice NPCs in the game. This is a “dubbing challenge” that will run on TikTok between June 18 and July 2. Those who come out victorious get to have their voice showcased in the game once it launches.
Fans Can Have Their Voice Immortalized Through Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The studio has switched things up with how NPC voice-overs work in the game. With Assassin’s Creed Shadows, they are giving fans a chance to immortalize their love for the game by having their voice permanently as a part of the game once it launches.
According to Ubisoft’s official page, This contest will last from June 18 to July 2, and is going to be open to anyone who wishes to voice in these languages:
- Japanese
- English
- French
- Italian
- German
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Spanish Castilian
Interested candidates will get to choose from a series of cutscenes from Assassin’s Creed games, and then dub it in their preferred language.
Those with not enough followers on TikTok can breathe a sigh of relief, as Ubisoft is only going to judge these voices based on their performances. Once the performances are submitted, winners can expect to hear from Ubisoft at a later stage.
Furthermore, candidates can look forward to reading and performing a fresh script for the game’s NPCs if they manage to win the contest.

Once the performances are submitted, winners can expect a lot more than just having their voice be a part of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. According to Ubisoft, winners will have the chance to learn from the best professionals in the field of voice acting, such as Danny Wallace, who played Shaun Hastings in games like Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Throughout the workshop session, winners will record scripts for secondary NPCs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Even though the role may seem smaller compared to all the protagonists that may appear in the game, it’s a big opportunity for those interested in exploring the voice-over landscape in gaming.
The upcoming title will dive into the many nuances of modern-day gaming, such as revamped gameplay mechanics, music, motion capture, animations, and so on. And voice-overs are no exception.
