Black Adam Can Be A Trilogy?

Surrounding Warner Bros. Discovery’s upcoming Black Adam film has been discussions and speculation about the potential return of Superman and the Man of Steel’s battle with the DCEU’s newest demigod. While audiences might want to see that clash in a film, Black Adam‘s Aldis Hodge recently stated he wants an entire trilogy.

When Variety asked Hodge what his take of the inevitable Black Adam Vs Superman should be like, his immediate response was “Honestly, I would like to see a build-up to that if that was to ever come to pass. I want to see at least two to three movies build up to it. And then, in that final film, that final showdown, at least 80 percent of that movie has them fighting it out.”

Most recently, Dwayne Johnson said, “I was also listening to the fans at the same time, where you have Black Adam– we would create Black Adam for him to be the most powerful and unstoppable force on this planet. The most powerful and unstoppable force in the entire universe has been on the sidelines for too long,” seemingly hinting at Superman and his absence from the DCEU since 2017’s Justice League.

Can Dwayne Johnson save the DCEU?

Watching how Dwayne Johnson has been on a spree, mercilessly teasing fans and riling them up for Black Adam, to what can possibly become one of the most successful films in the DCEU, it will not be too far-fetched of a statement that Hodge made, which might turn out to be true. We all love a good clash between superbeings that can bend the laws known to humanity and perform some unimaginable feats, and who is better to be pinned against the Strongest Being on the Planet than the invincible Man Of Steel?

Whether Hodge’s statement might just be his wish or might it mean something more, all we can do at the moment is wait to find out.
