Ahead of the release of the final installment of the Attack on Titan anime, the series is preparing for a special release in April. Hajime Isayama, the series creator, will release a new art book titled Attack on Titan – Fly in April 2024. The book will include previously unseen artwork, as well as a brand-new manga one-shot. The creator recently gave us a sneak peek at the upcoming manga one-shot titled ‘Bad Boy.’
The upcoming Attack on Titan manga one-shot, scheduled to be published in volume 35 of the manga, appears to take a deep dive into Levi Ackerman’s early life. This would be a big thing for the fans as Levi is one of the most loved characters in the series and his backstory was not given much importance in the manga and the anime.

Attack on Titan One-Shot Manga
A few months ago, Isayama, the mangaka of the Attack on Titan manga series, and his editor, Shintaro Kawakubo, announced the release of Attack on Titan Art Book: FLY on October 4, 2023. FLY will contain 200 pages of art from the Attack On Titan manga, including preliminary sketches, storyboards, and color pages newly colored by the same assistant who worked on the color pages and covers during the manga’s initial run. This special edition, Attack on Titan – Fly, will include 18 pages of this new one-shot, providing a unique perspective into Levi’s history.
Levi Ackerman is the squad captain of the Survey Corps’ Special Operations Squad and is widely regarded as humanity’s most powerful soldier. Levi is a pivotal and beloved character in the series. He has his fan base and is the only character who is likely to be as popular as the series’ protagonist, Eren Yeager.

Levi Ackerman’s Backstory in One-Shot Manga
The one-shot will provide light on Levi’s difficult upbringing in the Underground, a period of his life that has been mostly ignored in the main series. New storyboards for this one-shot have recently surfaced, depicting Levi as a little toddler battling for survival in the harsh Underground. These storyboards show Levi with his mother, as well as times when he is alone and in anguish against a backdrop of adults. Levi has been a fascinating figure from the beginning.
Levi’s journey has been a mystery for the fans since the beginning. The announcement of the One-Shot Manga has got all the Attack on Titan fans excited for the series since the original anime series is coming to an end in November. It would be an excellent opportunity to learn about his background and how he rose to become humanity’s greatest soldier. Fans are excited to learn more about Levi’s past, and this one-shot promises to provide new insights. The one-shot will hit theatres in April 2024.
