If you have ever heard any of Rick Ross’ internationally popular songs, such as Stay Schemin featuring Drake and French Montana or B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast) featuring Styles P, you have probably noticed the classy Maybach Music tag on each instrumental. Throughout Ross’ discography, the well-known statement—which represents his record label, Maybach Music—appears on numerous tracks.
And after more than a decade of studios’ wearing the tag, last year, the 48-year-old finally revealed the voice behind it.
Ross confirmed on Instagram on August 29, 2023, that Jessica Gomes is the voice behind the Maybach Music Group. The Australian model, who has appeared in multiple campaigns, was born in Sydney to a Chinese father and a Singaporean mother of Chinese descent.
Jessica Gomes: Meet the Voice Behind the ‘Maybach Music’ Tagline
Like most fans of rap music, you have probably spent most of your weekends listening to Rick Ross’ mixtapes, like Rich Forever, almost nonstop. Along with that, the omnipresent and incredibly catchy ‘Maybach Music’ tagline drops to the opening of most of his songs.
The identity of the stunning woman behind this vocal has long eluded us, but it turns out that she is indeed very attractive. Yes, it is Jessica Gomes, an Australian supermodel. This same girl represented Australian company David Jones Limited as its featured spokesperson from 2013 until December 2019.
Last year, in August, Ross posted on Instagram:

Her hip-hop career did not end with Maybach Music Group; she has appeared in a commercial for the Estee Lauder/Sean John fragrance ‘Unforgivable’. Additionally, she was mentioned in the 2010 song Christian Dior Denim Flow by Kanye West, which also featured Kid Cudi, Pusha T, John Legend, and other artists.
Jessica Gomes Discussed Success, Style, And Skincare
Although it is awkward to compliment someone else’s beauty, talking about Jessica Gomes is unavoidable. And due to her good looks, she has been modeling for over 20 years. In person, she is even more lovely—simple and sincere. It also helps that Gomes, who is 38 now, is more at peace with herself. She told Vogue in 2019:
“I feel like I know who I am now. I know what I like and I know what looks good on me.”
Gomes typically dons a T-shirt, jeans, and flats when she appears in her true self, as she told the outlet:
“I’m a size 40 but they only had a size 41 left at the Sydney David Jones. I look better natural. I feel so uncomfortable in a dress. I look at photos of dresses and think: ‘I want to look pretty and girlie’, but it’s just not me.”
Her mother signed her up for modeling lessons when she was a teenager because she was having problems adjusting to a new school. She was able to interact with kids her own age through the activity.
“We would learn parades and it was a fun hobby, but then suddenly I started to work as well, so I’ve been modelling for a really long time … since I was 10. It’s always been a part of my life.”
An Australian supermodel may have piqued the interest of the fashion community with her dazzling beauty and effortlessly chic style, but there is much more to her story than meets the eye. Behind the glamorous exterior lies a story of hard work, and determination, that propelled Gomes to become one of the industry’s most sought-after models.
So, the next time you see a Maybach Music tagline or hear Gomes’ sultry voice, remember the incredible journey that led her to where she is now. And who knows, perhaps her story will inspire you to pursue your own dreams, no matter how impossible they appear.
