Avatar: The Way of Water has already surpassed expectations of a great cinematic experience justifying the long await since the first release back in 2009. The movie went deep into the ocean this time instead of the forest introducing us to different Na’vi tribes this time. While the run-time of 3 hours and 12 minutes might seem a tad bit longer for us being accustomed to one-minute reels, the visuals have made it worth the duration.

In an interview, the director shares a piece of the next movie to the franchise with a major twist and more. Cameron talks about sharing Na’avi from other angles as he feels so far they have only been shown in a good light. He expresses his want to show cultures differently from what he has shown already.

James Cameron shared,“The fire will be represented by the ‘Ash People.’ I want to reveal the Na’vi from another angle because, for the moment, I have only shown their good sides. In the early films, there are very negative human examples and very positive Na’vi examples. In Avatar 3, we’ll have the opposite.”

Cameron also spoke about his plans for the future movies in this franchise as he expressed he wants to explore new universes whilst letting the ongoing main characters grow. He talks about how the prequels were a mere beginning as the sequels will be far more exciting and enticing.

James Cameron said,“We will also explore new universes while continuing the story of the main characters. I can say that the last parts will be the best. The others were an introduction, a way to set the table before serving the meal. But, obviously, everything will depend on how Avatar 2 will be received, if it will find its audience.”

The director’s initial stint with the Pandora universe went on to be a massive hit with the first movie of the franchise still keeping its place as the highest-grossing movie of all time. Fans can hope to see the sequels a notch higher than their predecessors.
