One of the last big titles to release this year, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming out on the 7th of December. With the release date getting ever so close, gamers now have a clear idea of the system requirements for the game, and it’s just as massive as the beasts showcased in the trailer.

Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles, PC, and also on Amazon’s cloud gaming service, Luna. The minimum requirements to play the game at 1080p and 30fps require an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or an 8th-gen Intel i7 with 16 GB. As for the GPU, the minimum requirement is a GTX 1070 or better. The game also requires to be installed in an SSD for quick loading and needs 90GB of space. SSDs are still not as mainstream as many would assume as Hard Disk Drives are still being widely used.

To run the game at 1080p 60fps, the requirement is to have either an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or an 11th-gen i5. The GPU required is either an AMD RD 6700 XT or an RTX 3060 Ti. As for the recommended requirements to play the game at 60fps and 1080p resolution, the required processor is either an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or an 11th-gen i5 paired with either an AMD Radeon RX 6700 or an RTX 3060 Ti, with 16GB of RAM.

To play the game at 2K resolution and 60fps, the requirement is to either pack an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or an 11th-gen i5. GPU requirement is to either pack an AMD RX 6800 XT or an RTX 3080. For the best experience at 4K 60fps, gamers must have either an AMD 5800X3D or a 12-th gen i7 processor, paired with either an AMD RX 7900 XTX or an RTX 4080. Even better, to play the game in Ultra settings, the game requires an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 3D or a 12th-gen i7, paired with either an AMD RX 7900 XTX or an RTX 4080.

For laptop users, Ubisoft has a couple of guides on their website to help gamers ensure an NVIDIA or AMD GPU is being used to run the game and not the onboard integrated GPU. The important part about running the game on a laptop is to ensure there’s enough cooling solution so the demanding game does not burn up.

Ubisoft has also specifically mentioned that AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution is to be set at Quality for all requirements except for Ultra which requires it to be set at a balanced mode. Ubisoft’s PC specs list also mentions the game will support, “raytraced global illumination, reflection, and shadows“.

This will give gamers a more immersive experience as they explore the open world. The game is also said to get gamers a, “smooth experience, stable FPS, low latency in all of the resolutions, and better FPS with the best hardware“.

The game is also said to support Ultra-wide monitors, AMD Eyefinity and NVIDIA surround support, and Intel XeSS and NVIDIA DLSS Support. Finally, Ubisoft has mentioned including a PC Benchmarking tool to give gamers an in-depth look at the, “statistics, advanced command line options, and an automated mode, to let gamers optimize their experience“.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is almost here and will see gamers playing the game from a first-person perspective. Players will take control of a Na’vi orphan and explore the fictional world of Pandora, just as in the Avatar movies.
