Avatar: The Last Airbender remains a cult favorite anime series. It’s held in high regard for its high quality of writing, appealing to not only younger viewers, but adults of all ages. There has already been one live-action attempt at adapting the fan favorite series. In 2010 director M. Night Shyamalan delivered what many consider to be the worst film of his rocky career. Following the success of films like The Sixth Sense and Signs, the filmmaker was alleged to be “the next Steven Spielberg.” However, following a series of critical and box office flops, the once renowned filmmaker had a fall from grace. His swing at Avatar: The Last Airbender marked the lowest point in his career, although he’s had something of a comeback in recent years.

As fans are waiting anxiously, excited but cautious for what’s to come, Netflix has dropped some brand new images to help ease the anticipation.
